"An ACE in the Country" |
 April 09, 2007. Canada's newest publication, More Magazine, is a celebration of women over 40, and who better to feature than ACE's co-founder Linda Haynes. More Magazines' premier issue, available March 2007, features Linda in an article titled "An ACE in the Country." The nine-page spread tells the story of how ACE came to be, accompanied by beautiful photographs of Linda with her family and simple yet sophisticated recipes.
Writer Bonny Reichert takes the reader through Linda's personal journey and the creation of ACE Bakery. Linda was 45 when she began the ACE adventure and is a testament to women not being limited by their age. Linda is quoted as saying "it just never occurred to me not to do it. Why shouldn't women have four or five careers over their lifetime if they want to?"
The collection of recipes found in the article include Baguette Flatbread, Baked Eggplant Soup with Feta-Mint Garnish, Roasted Chicken on a Bed of Potatoes, Mushrooms, and Shallots, Arugula, Fig and Chèvre Salad with Red Wine Vinaigrette, and lastly Strawberry Ginger Fool. ACE Bakery wishes More Magazine a successful future and hopes that women over 40 will be inspired to achieve their dreams at any age.
