First Kitchen Job- Living Well Café - Yonge Street, Toronto
Most Influential Experience- Working with Michael Stadtlander.
Biggest Motivator- His children: daughter Natasha, and son Max.
Favorite Childhood Food- Roast chicken, a recipe his Mom used to always make. His father was born in Jakarta, and this made Indonesian food a favorite too.
Most Memorable Meal- Le Bernadine, New York City and Per Say, New York City.
Most Recent Signature Dish- Foie Gras pan seared with maple glazed matzo apples, and black currant purée.
Crave to Eat at Home- Simple light food. Salads, or anything healthy.
Favorite Ingredient- Chives.
Advice to Future Cooks- Stay focused, pay attention, work hard, and always develop yourself.
