"Pretty bread to adorn your table completes the dinner setting", says Linda Haynes, owner of ACE Bakery. "And the fact that you can eat it, makes it even more fun. We are introducing our new Epi and Olive Fougasse, both of which are pretty and delicious when you have company for dinner", explains Ms. Haynes. "And we're expanding our Demi-Baguette province-wide, for those looking for a smaller size bread option" adds Linda.
"The ACE White Epi is a traditional French white bread with a golden, crisp crust, and a light, airy interior. Just before the dough is baked, it is hand-cut with scissors and gently formed, requiring the precision and dexterity of a true craftsman to create the shape of wheat sheafs. Olive Fougasse, the French version of Italian foccacia, is made with a rustic dough and a delicious blend of Kalamata olives and thyme. Just before baking, the dough is hand-cut to create unique open shapes resembling a lattice. From our hearth to your table, is a pretty, delicious, bread", explains Linda. The Epi is available across Canada for $1.69 and the Fougasse, also available nationwide, is $3.99.
When serving the Epi, guests can simply tear off the ears, a perfect portion with dinner. Olive Fougasse is delicious as a snack, or it can be torn or cut into serving sizes, adding an exciting twist to your dinner.
The Demi-Baguette will now be available province-wide. In response to consumers' requests for smaller portions, and for the growing number of households without children, a smaller baguette was developed for select markets. Now consumers will be able to find the Demi-Baguette right across Ontario.
One of North America's leading artisan bakeries, ACE Bakery's famous baguettes and artisan breads are available at hundreds of restaurants, hotels, caterers, grocery, and gourmet food shops across Canada, New York State, and the Midwest U.S.A. ACE Bakery opened in 1993 as an artisan bakery creating hand-made, European-style rustic breads. The gentle shaping of each loaf, long fermentation periods, and a stone deck oven all work to create exceptionally flavourful products with a light, airy texture and crisp golden crust. In keeping with ACE's high quality standards, the new breads contain no added preservatives and are made using only the finest ingredients.
Community involvement is an essential part of ACE's philosophy. The company donates a percentage of its net profits to charitable organizations in the principal centres where ACE breads are sold. ACE's focus is on food and nutrition programs that assist low-income members of the community, financing culinary scholarships, and supporting organic farming initiatives.
