Einhorn Catering & Fine Food is located in the Caledon Hills, 25 minutes northwest of Toronto. The company was founded by Volker Strunk in 1994, when he tired of university teaching and decided to exchange English Renaissance drama for fine foodiedom and the joys of the kitchen.

Einhorn is a full-service catering company that sells over-the-counter meals as well: from rack of wild boar and sweetbreads with lobster, to Guinea hen ragout. Specialities include Einhorn's house terrine with duck foie gras and morel mushrooms, and Belgian chocolate sauces. Einhorn offers some thirty different kinds of soup, from sorrel & morel soup to broccoli-wasabi soup. The shop's cheese counter boasts about 120 international cheeses. Chocolate truffles and most other delectables sold in the store are made on the premises.
