Owners Evan and Cathy MacDonald first opened the Village Grocer in 1986 and it has since become a fixture in the community of Unionville. They give back to the community and are faithful contributors to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society and many other charities, as well as numerous sports teams which Evan sponsors and sometimes coaches.
