"My current favourite breakfast food is ACE's holiday special, the dark chocolate chip boule, which goes with a morning latté like caviar with champagne." Joanne Kates - The Globe and Mail.
ACE BAKERY INTRODUCES A DECADENT CHOCOLATE BOULE TO THE GREATER TORONTO AREA
ACE Bakery discovered it had a winner when it introduced a chocolate boule to a select audience just before the December holidays. Word of mouth took the news to the streets and soon the ACE phones were ringing, and a constant stream of customers descended on the Hafis Road Fresh Bread Store and Café in search of the rich sourdough bread loaded with bittersweet chocolate.
By popular demand, the ACE chocolate boule will be available on February 11, 2004 in select grocery and fine food stores across the GTA. Enjoy it as a special treat to accompany a morning latte, coffee or tea, or use it to create a decadent French toast.
ACE Bakery opened in 1993 as an artisan bakery creating hand-made, European-style, rustic breads. The gentle shaping of each loaf, long fermentation periods and a stone deck oven all work to create exceptionally flavourful products with a chewy, moist texture and crisp crust. The breads contain no preservatives and are made with only the finest ingredients.
ACE Bakery sells bread to hundreds of Ontario's finest restaurants, hotels, caterers and gourmet food shops as well as grocery outlets in Ontario, Quebec, Michigan and upstate New York. In 2003, ACE Bakery proudly celebrated ten years of baking superior artisan breads. ACE donates ten percent of its pre-tax profits to local charitable organizations in centres where ACE breads are sold, with a focus on food and nutrition programs to assist low-income members of the community, financing culinary scholarships, and supporting organic farming initiatives.
