From the aromatic kitchens of ACE Bakery comes the latest collection of mouth-watering recipes for bread and all the delicious things that go with it. The sequel to the award-winning bestseller The ACE Bakery Cookbook, Linda Haynes’ new cookbook, More from Ace Bakery, brings the pleasure of baking, cooking and entertaining to cooks of every level. All royalties from the sale of More from ACE Bakery are donated to organizations that support women and children in crisis.

Just like its predecessor, which sold approximately 25,000 copies, More from ACE Bakery takes its readers through the basics: bread, breakfast, starters, soups, salads, sandwiches, dinner and desserts. The book is peppered with anecdotal cook’s tips, practical bits of food history and ingredient facts.

Over 100 sensational recipes run the gamut from delicious everyday fare to spectacular creations for family dinners and entertaining. “The recipes are simple to make, and many can be made ahead, so that you can dazzle family and friends with the wonderful food without spending all your time in the kitchen,” says Ms. Haynes of her newest book. Featuring such delights as Cheddar Roll Cluster and Pear Hazelnut Scones, African Papaya Soup, Stuffed Pork Chops with Pomegranate-Maple Glaze, and Chocolate Coffee Bread Pudding, this wonderful book is filled with recipes and full-colour photographs that will entice every palette.

The Author
Linda Haynes is the co-founder and co-owner of ACE Bakery. She and her husband Martin Connell developed an interest in baking bread in 1985. In their travels to France, they observed village bakers in their rituals, then studied the operation of artisan bakeries in New York and California and opened ACE Bakery in 1993.

Community involvement is an essential part of ACE’s philosophy. ACE donates a percentage of its pretax profits to food and nutrition programs that assist low-income families, financing culinary scholarships, and supporting organic farming initiatives. All royalties from the sale of The ACE Bakery Cookbooks are donated to support these efforts.

The ACE Bakery Cookbooks are available at the ACE Café at 1 Hafis Road, Toronto, Chapters/Indigo, The Cookbook Store (1-800-268-6018) and independent bookstores across Canada, at Loblaws and other select grocery retailers and online at chapters.indigo.ca and amazon.ca.
