Canada’s Best Sandwich Contest
Jean Émond’s North African Lamb Filet Sandwich on an ACE Ciabatta Roll was judged Canada’s Best Sandwich at the big Sandwich Showdown on October 17, 2013.
Jean from Montreal, Quebec triumphed over three other Regional Finalists and it wasn’t an easy choice for our judges, Food Network Canada personality, Bob Blumer, Food Writer and Blogger Julie Van Rosendaal, and ACE Master Baker, Marcus Mariathas.
Jean received the Grand Prize of $10,000 for himself and $10,000 for his charity The World Wildlife Fund of Canada. All four Regional Finalists received $1,000 for themselves and $1,000 for their charity of choice.
