Thank you to everyone who helped make the Artisan Incubator such a great success!
The ACE Bakery Artisan Incubator wrapped up June 20th to 22nd with a spectacular Showcase event, a business-building seminar for the participating Artisans, and a series of Artisan Workshops at leading culinary facilities across Toronto.
Over 300 chefs, retailers, critics and others in the food business attended the Artisan Showcase at the Daniels Spectrum in the Regents Park community. Each of the 20 Artisans presented their signature products in special recipes created just for the Showcase.
ACE Bakery President Lee Andrew greeted the audience and explained how ACE chose to celebrate its 20th Anniversary by honouring 20 up-and-coming artisans from across Canada. “We hope that this national public showcase will help these artisans achieve the success they want while also drawing attention to the thousands of talented and hard-working artisans who put their heart and soul into everything they make,” he said.
ACE co-founder Linda Haynes recognized the distinguished panel of Tastemakers who helped select and support the Artisans and announced the two Artisans selected for additional mentoring support. Michael McKenzie of Seed to Sausage and Nancy Hinton of Les Jardins Sauvages will have access to additional mentoring opportunities over the next year.
